Curbelo Urges House & Senate Leadership to Pass Emergency Zika Funding
Washington, D.C.—Today, Rep. Carlos Curbelo (FL-26) and Members of Congress from Florida sent a bipartisan letter to House and Senate Leadership, urging Congress to pass legislation to fund Zika eradication efforts.
“For months I have strongly advocated for emergency funds to combat the Zika virus. South Florida has been ground zero for the disease, and we are seeing first-hand Zika’s devastating impact not only on public health, but on our economy as well. The top priority of Congress should be to protect the health and well-being of American families. Providing medical professionals with the resources needed to eliminate Zika is of utmost importance, and I will continue to work with Members on both sides of the aisle to get this funding signed into law."
