Congressman Curbelo and Chairman Shuster Statements on Appointment to Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittees
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Yesterday it was announced that Rep. Carlos Curbelo (FL-26) has been appointed to the following Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittees:
"Our airports and seaports drive South Florida's economy and are of major significance to the country," Rep. Curbelo said. "These important subcommittee assignments will afford me the opportunity to work in a bipartisan manner to increase our area's economic potential by expanding our transportation and infrastructure capacity. This will mean more opportunities and a higher quality of life for Florida families."
Chairman of the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, Rep. Bill Shuster (PA-09) commented on the selection, "I look forward to working with Rep. Curbelo to accomplish our legislative goals of strengthening America's infrastructure and improving our nation's competitiveness. I believe all South Floridians will benefit from having Rep. Curbelo as an efficient advocate and legislator on his assigned subcommittees."
In the 114th Congress, Rep. Curbelo will serve on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, the Education & the Workforce Committee, and the Small Business Committee.
