Miami, Florida—Rep. Carlos Curbelo (FL-26) released the following statement regarding the results of the Colombia peace process referendum.

"I congratulate the Colombian people for yesterday’s successful democratic exercise. A majority of Colombians rejected the agreement with the terrorist FARC negotiated in Havana. Together with other colleagues in Congress, I closely followed the peace process expressing concerns that evidently are shared by many Colombians, especially those living in our South Florida community. Our commitment to the Colombian people and to the struggle against narcoterrorism is unwavering, and today we reaffirm our intention to continue supporting Plan Colombia and all the elements of the important U.S.-Colombia relationship."
