Homestead, Florida
—Today, Rep. Carlos Curbelo (FL-26) was joined by Homestead Mayor Jeff Porter, City Manager George Gretsas, and Councilman Larry Roth to discuss the allocation of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) unused funds to be used for the Multimodal Transit Center in Homestead. Rep. Curbelo released the following statement:

“Earlier this year I sent a letter to FDOT Secretary Boxold urging him to repurpose unused earmarks for the Multimodal Transit Center in downtown Homestead. The nearly $7 million that will be used for this endeavor will significantly benefit the members of our community and give individuals another transportation option. I am proud that this center will be able to serve the citizens of South Florida, and I look forward to seeing the final result of this innovative project.”
