Washington, D.C.—Rep. Carlos Curbelo (FL-26) met with Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster to discuss the importance of Everglades Restoration in the upcoming Water Resources Development Act (WRDA).
“I thank Chairman Shuster for taking the time to discuss Everglades restoration, an issue of the utmost importance to the residents of South Florida. During our meeting we discussed the benefits of the Central Everglades Planning Project and my strong support in including the program in the upcoming Water Resources Development Act. I am happy to report that we had a successful meeting and I am confident that protecting this national treasure will continue to be a priority in Congress.”
