Washington, D.C.—It was recently reported that Cuba denied visas to a delegation of Members of Congress from the House Homeland Security Committee that wanted  to inspect airport security. Rep. Carlos Curbelo (FL-26) released the following statement in disapproval of Cuba's actions:

"The Cuban regime's decision to block Members of the Homeland Security Committee access to airports is troubling and highly suspicious at a time when the Obama Administration is promoting travel to and from the island. What are Cuba's dictators hiding from the American people? Secure airports are critical to keeping the American people safe and these developments out of Cuba are cause for serious concern."
